Competing Interests

CR Bard and Teleflex Medical provided several cases of urinary catheters that were used to evaluate the labeling approach for existing, commercially available urinary catheters. Dr. Bix provided testimony as an expert witness on behalf of CR Bard in a trial that involved a patent dispute and the physical structure of a package. These supporters had no role in designing the study; collecting, analyzing or interpreting the data; writing the publication or deciding to submit.
