Competing Interests
CS (and Pace Analytical) had an intellectual contribution in developing the extraction and analytical methods for brominated dioxin analysis. Pace Analytical was paid on a per sample basis for the dioxin analyses from the NSF grant. Co-author CS is employed by Pace Analytical. There are no patents, products in development or marketed products to declare. This does not alter the authors’ adherence to all the PLOS ONE policies on sharing data and materials.
