Competing Interests
All authors on the manuscript are inventors on a patent application entitled “Improvement of Sensory Stimulation”, which was filed as Intellectual Property through the Virginia Tech Intellectual Properties (VTIP) office. Filing of this patent through VTIP did not affect the authors' objectivity or resolve in conducting the submitted research. In addition, William J. Tyler and Tomokazu F. Sato have other patents pending on brain stimulation methods and devices and hold equity in a neuromodulation device company, which is in no way related to the authors' study. This does not alter the authors' adherence to all the PLOS ONE policies on sharing data and materials.
