SEN is the principal investigator for a large clinical trial comparing cardiovascular event rates for three nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agents: naproxen, ibuprofen, and celecoxib. Although the study is supported by Pfizer, SEN and the Executive Committee for the trial have stipulated that no member of the trial leadership may accept any compensation from the sponsor or any other maker of drugs in this class.
