Editorial Note: Investment needs to achieve SDGs: An overview

  • The PLOS Sustainability and Transformation Editors

A concern was raised that the journal’s Managing Editor, rather than a member of the journal’s Editorial Board, issued the Accept decision for this article [1] and is listed as the Editor on the article’s webpage.

As is indicated in the published Peer Review History, the article’s peer review included input from two external reviewers and a Section Editor on the journal’s editorial board. To confirm that the article meets the journal’s editorial standards, the Editor-in-Chief, Unai Pascual, has completed a full post-publication review of the article’s content. Per the Editor-in-Chief’s assessment the article meets the publication criteria for PLOS Sustainability and Transformation.

The PLOS Sustainability and Transformation Editors apologize that this issue was not identified prior to the article’s publication.
