"E. histolytica trophozoites expressing GFP-EhP3 and actively phagocytosing either Red blood cells (RBCs) or, Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) cells were stained and monitored by confocal microscopy. Apparent in the overlay are RBCs (red; stained with DiD Dye), CHO cells (blue; stained with CMAC dye), Entamoeba cells expressing GFP-EhP3 (green; stained with anti-GFP antibody). GFP-EhP3 accumulated rapidly at the phagocytic cups and remained till the formation of phagosomes advocating the fact that EhP3 is involved during diverse steps of phagocytosis." Agarwal et al.
