Pseudo-atomic model of complete rotavirus uncleaved spike.

The structure is derived from the analysis by cryo-electron microscopy and cryo-electron tomography of non-trypsinized virions from two rotavirus model strains. The undigested spike is able to achieve a stable, rigid conformation similar to that of the mature trypsin-cleaved particle. See Rodríguez et al.
