An example of a visual map for an activity of daily living titled "Laundry", in which there are a total of 8 sequential steps guiding the user through a certain aspect of the activity. Each step appears individually and only progresses to the next step once the user interacts with the device’s touch screen. Once the user reaches the last step of the activity, the user is able to confirm that it has been successfully completed. The individual pictured in Fig 2 has provided written informed consent (as outlined in PLOS consent form) to publish their image alongside the manuscript.
