Among 1,058 respondents, 1,026 were included in the primary analysis. Secondary outcomes included the differences based on occupation and the differences in ultrasound-based muscle mass assessment between experienced and inexperienced participants.

The barriers were assessed using a 5-point Likert scale with “Strongly agree” and “Agree,” which were used for the comparison.

The necessity of and interest in ultrasound-based muscle mass assessment were assessed using an 11-point Likert scale ranging from 0 to 10. The necessity of and interest in ultrasound-based muscle mass assessment were 7 (6–8) and 8 (7–10), respectively.
