Serum bone turnover measurements in WT and KO males at 6w and 3m.

Serum was collected at sacrifice and analyzed for bone resorption and formation using ELISA kits for A) N-terminal propeptide of type I collagen (P1NP); B) C-terminal telopeptide of type I collagen (CTX-I); C) inactive gamma-carboxylated osteocalcin (Gla-OCN); and D) active undercaboxylated (Glu-OCN) osteocalcin. No significant differences were measured for either parameter. Values represent mean ± SD (n = 4).
