Ischaemic Strokes in Patients with Pulmonary Arteriovenous Malformations and Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia: Associations with Iron Deficiency and Platelets

Right-to-left shunt and hypoxaemia evaluations.

The linear regression coefficient of −1.22 (95% CI −1.31, −1.14; p<0.0001) indicates a strong relationship that explains 73% of the total variance in erect SaO2 (adjusted r2 0.73). The shunt explained a smaller proportion of the total variance in supine SaO2 (adjusted r2 0.54, data not shown).
