Shorter Lines Facilitate Reading in Those Who Struggle

Short lines facilitate reading in dyslexia.

When comparing the POD and PAD conditions, reading in the POD condition is faster (RATE), fixations are reduced (FIX), and the number of inefficient saccades substantially lower (TOT). These gains are observed at no cost to comprehension. (Error bars are +/−1 s.e.)
