In the paragraph headed "Determining cardiovascular risk" the sentence on estimation of ten-year cardiovascular risk has been incorrectly cross-referenced. It should be cross-referenced to reference 9, not to reference 8.

Therefore it should read as follows:

"Ten-year cardiovascular risk was calculated from each patient's risk factors using the modified Framingham equation advocated in 2005 UK guidelines [9]."
