Sample Selection bias?

Posted by Jayr1945 on 01 Apr 2013 at 14:53 GMT

Twenty-two fresh cartomizers from a leading manufacturer
....on four different occasions over a two year period..

The samples showed evidence of prior use, ...possibly pretesting to make sure the unit worked prior to shipment to the consumer. .Were these early prototype samples? There was no mention as to when this sample was was taken or whether they were representative of e-cigs available today.

The brand of EC that we used was one of the first cartomizer models sold in 2009-2010, but the cartomizers that were dissected in this study were purchased between 2010-2012. We have recently purchased another batch of cartomizers in 2013 from this company and have dissected them as well and have seen similar results
