Taiwanese Vegetarians and Omnivores

The main weakness of this study is that it relies heavily on a relatively homogenous group, in terms of dietary and lifestyle habits. This group does not represent a cross sectional population of vegetarians. The authors should address pertinent factors that could have bearing on the findings, such as average daily caloric intake of the Buddhist vegetarians vs. the omnivores; whether the vegetarians also practice fasting; where they obtain their food from and so on.
