Clarifications by the author

I would like to clarify the following points:
1. The spelling of RetractionWatch should be without a space in between Retraction and Watch and the correct citation should be: “The Retraction Watch Database. New York: The Center for Scientific Integrity; 2018 [cited 2022 12 December]. Available from: http://retractiondatabase...

2. Although the RetractionWatch blog was launched in 2010 and the database was made public in 2018, it was actually started in 2016. They performed historical searches for retractions and by the time the database was launched, they had over 18,000 retractions already entered.

On behalf of all the authors, I apologise to the owners of the RetractionWatch database, who kindly provided us with the data for this study. Thank you very much.
