Past mining activity in Bootless Bay (Tahira Inlet)

Regarding the case of Bootless Bay, it could be worth mentioning that a copper smelter was operating near Tahira inlet beginning of the 20th century (see http://minerals.usgs.gov/...). This past industry might have also impacted the biodiversity in the bay.
