closeHow much are people willing to pay?

But how much would people be willing to pay for using social media. Isn't that a better measure of the value?

agree. How much is a beer worth? do the same auction method to pay 1,2,3,7d... abstinence from drinking to measure how much e.g. Diageo is worth. BTW, one may have other accounts beside the one shown inactive. People on fbk already paid for there internet access and device (also) for doing that. It seems quite different than: "Ok, we know and you that by now you are hooked: thus starting next month, to access fbk you have to pay (monthly) the average outcome of a pay-for auction among all fbk current & prospective users.". That'd a recurring cost for users.
Also possible "... starting next month, only fbk shareholders can access fbk, and the more shares you own the longer the activity / access available to you, cap being 24/7 full year i.e. 100% set by larger shareholder (excluding founders/board)". How much the market cap would settle to?
E.g. for me, I've (fake) fbk accounts and occasionally drink non-water and Ii can easily see huge different outcomes from have-to-pay-for or get-paid-for-not scenarios.
Neverthess interesting & inspiring work
cheers!
