stories versus nonstories

While Harry Potter is a story with demonstrated ability to keep a person's attention, I wonder how your results would differ if you used nonstory text? This relates to the observation that nonfiction is easier to read when it is cast in the form of a story, as argued by Jon Franklin in his book Writing for Story. Interesting study, and story.
