This is very nice. It sucks that it is an image but this is the best we can hope for on the web for now.
What about the in print version - is there a way to dump the XML to latex and have latex render the whole thing?
What about non .eps figures then?

there doesn't seem to be anything useful in the XML (just a reference to the image)
but it looks like you can cut and paste the equation the PDF - ie. it's text and not an image. i don't know enough about pdf->latex transformation to know if that's usable or not.
i know that we are working to provide better latex support in general in our production process, and i encourage you to submit any suggestions you have with our feedback form:
