closeMigraineurs may preferentially have bought mobile phones early

It would be of interest to know whether the individuals who had reported to the hospitals with migraine had migraine before they bought their mobile phones.
It seems likely that people with bad migraines would have bought the phones early, as the mobile phones allow the migraineurs to contact their relatives or a taxi when an attack hits them away from public phones.

Reply from the authors: This is a very interesting suggestion and we agree this may indeed play a role in what we observed. We've already planned to address this issue, as in a further ongoing study of our group (Cosmos study, see www.cancer.dk/cosmos [in Danish]) we assess more detailed information on the course of exposure and disease as was available for the present register-linkage approach.
