closeAverage scores, scores to aim for

I'm playing around with the de-jargonizer because I'm writing a thesis on inaccessible language and persuasive metaphoric language in invasive species management. I'm curious about what a good score to aim for on the dejaronizer is. The first 80 pages of my thesis got an 89% .

Lovely topic! The answer highly depends on your audience, naturally. If you aim for academicians (it is a thesis...) then 89% is fine (every 10th word). The parts that should serve practitioners or read by non experts in the field should be lower probably. I would aim to 5%. General public - 2%.
