Competing Interests

Rob C van Lummel and Erik Ainsworth are employed by the McRoberts B.V. This company is manufacturer of the DynaPort which was used for the measurements presented in this paper. Johannes Streffer is employed by Johnson and Johnson which sponsored the PMPP study (Progression markers in the suspected prediagnostic phase of Parkinson's disease). The funding of the PMPP study is pre-competitive. All these aspects do not alter the authors' adherence to all the PLoS ONE policies on sharing data and materials.
