Practical considerations in a much-needed campaign

Too often international AID organizations rely on existing infrastructure for their on-the-ground interventions. This article considers many of the hidden costs of waging a surgical campaign for medical male circumcision and identifies areas of waste management, basic supplies and logistics which are often not provided by poorly funded local institutions.
