I am wondering if this meta-analysis took into consideration the impact of the addition of fruits, nuts, vegetables and fish to the CHD rates observed in the Oslo Diet-heart trial or to the increased fruit and vegetable intake and reduced processed food intake to the rates observed in the STARS trial?
Also I wonder, are both omega-6 rich oils and omega-3 rich oils lumped together under the heading of PUFA? If so, I would posit that they may affect the rate of CHD in uniquely different ways?
I began wondering these, and other things, after reading this blog entry: http://wholehealthsource.... (sorry about the rude title.)
