I have read the journal's policy and report the following competing interest: I have received vaginal probiotics free-of-charge from Winclove Probiotics, Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and Biose, Clermont-Ferrand, France, for testing in a clinical trial in Rwanda. The trial itself was funded by the UK Medical Research Council, and full results were not yet available at the time of writing.
