DB has helped with recruitment to the HALT-IT trial of tranexamic acid in upper gastro-intestinal haemorrhages on behalf of the general medical service at the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust. The trial is not directly related to the CRASH-2 study but is coordinated by the same research unit. DB received no financial reward for his involvement in the HALT-IT trial.
