The original dataset, which was the basis of a previous paper (Garcia Rodriguez LA, Varas-Lorenzo C, Maguire A, Gonzalez-Perez A (2004) Nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs and the risk of myocardial infarction in the general population. Circulation 109: 3000–3006), was performed thanks to a research grant from Pharmacia (now Pfizer). KE has nothing to declare.
