Social moments captured from different pairs of flies are shown in silhouettes of various colors. Magenta and green flies were caught in the act of courtship, where the male either chases his female target (magenta) or sings to her and finds her producing a wing movement in return (green). Blue, red, yellow, and cyan silhouettes belong to pairs of males (blue/red) and females (yellow/cyan) that found themselves standing close together, sometimes briefly touching, and then grooming in synchrony.
