The cell is polarized, with the front colored in turquoise and the rear in blue. The solid ECM (E = 400 Pa) is represented by gray particles and the degraded ECM by black particles. Arrows represent the displacement in the solid ECM with respect to the initial particle positions. The cell forms multiple protrusions and creates a tunnel by degrading the ECM.
