The Hyr1 protein from the fungus Candida albicans is a cross kingdom immunotherapeutic target for Acinetobacter bacterial infection

Fig 2

Anti-Hyr1p peptide antibodies specifically binds A. baumannii but not P. aeruginosa.

Flow cytometry analysis of pooled sera collected from rabbits separately immunized with 8 peptides of Hyr1p showing binding of these antibodies to A. baumannii but not to P. aeruginosa (bacterial cells at 107 cells). Pooled sera from the same rabbits prior to immunization was used as a control (Control-Abs). The high and the low doses of the Abs were 30 and 3 μg/ml, respectively. AB = A. baumannii, PA = P. aeruginosa.
