Map of the Bieszczady Mountains (SE Poland), located in the Northern Carpathians. The nest predation experiment was conducted in the beginning of May 2011 for 15 days in the areas indicated (A–F). In each area, an ungulate feeding site (red circles) and a control site (blue triangles) were selected. State Forest Districts: Komańcza (A, B), Baligród (C), Cisna (D), Lutowiska (E) and Stuposiany (F).
