The variability in SD for turbidity for Interim Seamount sites shows that rather than a constant high level of particle load, there were pockets of turbidity seen throughout the tow. These high spikes did not correspond to times when the camera sled touched the seafloor, and so do represent an accurate pattern of higher turbidity at these sites.
