Using human postmortem tissue to study molecular modification at the synapse in brain disease

Your results are of great interest. Recently we published in PLoS a study using synaptoneurosomes from incipient AD patients showing changes in expression of mRNAs at the synapse . We show also that these preparations are capable of protein synthesis. I strongly agree that post-mortem brain tissues may have a crucial role in defining synaptic dysfunction in degenerative and developmental disorders of the brain. www.plosone.org/article/i...
