Cladocerans (though not the one depicted in the cartoon) also occur in reef zooplankton assemblages... so are the data shown really for ostracods or cladocerans??

Dear zoo_plus_reader, Thanks for pointing this out. You are correct. Unfortunately I used the wrong cartoon for the Ostracoda, but the data are certainly for ostracods not cladocerans. The ostracods in our collection were classified as nocturnally emerging by my co-authors and an independent expert. Cheers, Steve Simpson
