Interesting study that fits with earlier perceptual research

very interesting and is interesting to compare to some earlier perceptual studies of reaction time and pop out effects. One difference is the stimuli used, in many perceptual studies, schematic cartoon faces are typically used, here real faces were used. I look forward to more research and information to come in this area. Also would be interested to compare across age, education and culture.

Thanks for the feedback Kevin. A colleague of mine, Sandra Langeslag, is looking into the effects of ageing on STM for emotional faces. You might want to get in touch with her - she's at Erasmus University Rotterdam: langeslag@fsw.eur.nl
