As many others, I am appalled by this paper and its reference to a "Creator". This paper should be retracted immediately. The response of the first author to one of the reader comments is telling: "It is too miraculous to let us think that human hand is the masterwork of Creator and indicates the mystery of nature." Also I find the response by the Plos staff completely unsatisfactory: "...and will take steps to correct the published record." Only complete and immediate retraction will suffice. For Plos One to have a chance to redeem itself, it should make public the reviewers and editor's comments to this paper. This will let the scientific community know how this was possible, and whether the editorial process may have failed in other circumstances as well.
