closeIs nerve damage present in Morgellons?
Posted by olgaws on 25 Jan 2012 at 23:54 GMT
Suggestion: Conduct NCV test of these patients, and treat for that condition if present. Nerve damage does cause intense burning, itching, urge to scratch, which will lead to lesions, infections, etc. People suffering from this condition will frequently be depressed, suffer lack of concentration, fatigue, extreme lack of energy. It is not unusual for diabetics and thyroid patients to suffer nerve damage, many of your case studies had impaired thyroid or diabetes. Possible, treating their neuropathy (if it exists) will relieve Morgellons?

I had symptoms from the Morgellons spectrum, had amalgam fillings removed/replaced, detoxed, and recovered (published in Explore! medical journal). This is a horrific condition! All of the evidence I've found and my experience suggest the symptoms are the result of mercury as a neurotoxins ("crawling sensations" were widely documented in Miamata (fishing village with mercury released upstream)). Yes, test for neurotoxicity!
