the same population size as in our present study

Forty-five individuals in each population group were genotyped, while 24 individuals were used in the simulation data. So, the population size is not the same between experimental and simulation data.

Yes, this happened because we entered data in SelSim as one population originally, thus the numbers are close to 1/2 of the experimental population. However, I don't think that this difference in population size should have changed the general outcome.
