Hoff are employed by the Statens Serum Institut, a Danish not-for-profit governmental research institution which holds intellectual property rights on H1 as a vaccine construct. Peter Andersen is a co-inventor on a patent application covering the use of H1 as a vaccine (Patent No. WO9844119; Nucleic acid fragments and polypeptide fragments derived from M. tuberculosis).
