Definitions and underlying data

This is an interesting study. I wonder what your definitions of 'social science' and 'interdisciplinary' are though, as that seems really crucial to your overall point? Quite a lot of NTD work can be interdisciplinary without spanning biological and social sciences for example. Furthermore, I wonder how fair you had to dig into publications to identify them as examples of one such study or another. It, of course, may not be obvious from titles or even abstracts or methods, often the best interdisciplinary research is very implicit, not explicit.
