In the main text, we state

"For example, Shaanxi province has previously experienced very low rabies incidence but cases have begun to increase in recent years. Figure 6a indicates a strong epidemiological linkage from Shaanxi to Sichuan and from Sichuan to Yunnan"

However, the map incorrectly marks this linkage as occurring between Shanxi (山西) and Yunnan provinces.

To clarify, the predicted linkage occurs between Shaanxi (陕西省) and Yunnan provinces .
