I understand the purpose of this exercise is to generate debate on what would be the single most effective intervention to eradicate abject poverty, and so perhaps the editors deliberately chose to present as many different solutions as possible to stir this debate.
But then the exercise has an underlying goal in my view, and that is to find a solution.

What struck me on first read was the variety of answers and priorities given by some of the world's experts on the issue. It might be interesting to know the mode solution, or the one that appeared most often in the responses, so as to suggest some sort of broader agreement at least on the target issue, if not on the details of its delivery. This might serve as a useful first step to solving one of the greatest tragedies of our time.
