Carrots Needed To Direct Change

While it is easy to point the finger at the food industry, as they are the ones profiting from their exploitation of our failing regulatory system. The solution might lie elsewhere.

If the medical profession (& their associations, which serve as their mouthpiece) would openly recognize & promote the importance of nutrition in the prevention of chronic disease (especially those directly linked to lifestyle choices: diabetes & heart disease), maybe the regulators would up date our regulations to better reflect our 21st Century food science knowledge, and allow the appropriate claims of disease prevention to be promoted!

As it stands now, only "drugs" can prevent, affect, modify, or cure disease.

So, why take food that seriously?

No competing interests declared.
