Iron is needed in synthesis of Dopamin

The authors conclude:
Further studies are needed to understand the pathophysiological mechanism of action of serum iron on PD risk before recommendations can be made.
My point of view is:
The synthesis of Dopamin like other neurotransmitters needs iron, partly as iron containing enzymes , partly as coenzyme.
So it would be interesting to proofe, if high doses of intravenous applicated iron will improve symptoms, especially in case of iron deficiency.
