Helpful and informative article. Why not look at statins closely and update? Why is cholesterol the focus still? The value of statins is not lowering cholesterol; they were designed to achieve and do most times. It was found that they have an anti-inflammatory effect. This subclinical, or silent inflammation resulting from the assaults of free radicals, viral/bacterial and hormonal triggers that sets in motion the cascade of events ending in atherosclerosis. There are alternative anti-inflammatory substances in food and drink that are effective and do not punish the cells by depleting CoQ10 production in the liver by virtue of the mode of action, which reduces cholesterol synthesis. CoQ10 is an antioxidant and the heart muscle cells need it most! Cholesterol is innocent and the propaganda of statin-promotion would have everyone medicated!
