I am quite sick of these journalistic pseudo-scientific, "high impact" journals that play the impact factor game and rather go for headlines. Why not publish all our work in Open Access journals? I did not become a Scientist to work for Elsevier or the Nature Publishing Group, but to generate socially relevant knowledge. However, a change in mindset of the funding agencies is needed. The blindly count impact factors but so little work actually has actually true impact.
