Why wasn't this study more diverse?

I have read the study and can't figure out the point of it.

Yes. Most of us should get more exercise, big people too --- but why were all the participants in this study white/European decent?

We live in a multi-culture society. Why weren't people from other ethnic backgrounds included here?

And why, when the media is declaring our children and teens are fatter than ever, wasn't a broader age group represented? Say 12 - 16, 17 - 24, 25 - 34, etc . . .

It's hard to trust a study that isn't more inclusive to the world we live in, isn't it?

I am surprised nobody has brought up any of these issues.

No competing interests declared.
