true existing relationships to true non-existent relationships

Posted by lazarillo on 27 Jun 2011 at 22:52 GMT

Let R be the ratio of the number of “true relationships” to “no relationships” among those tested in the field.

This is a minor point to quibble, except that further definitions rely upon clear understanding here: R, as the author has defined it, is the ratio of the # of "true existing relationships" to the # of "true non-existent relationships". Both the numerator & the denominator are "true, but unknowable".
