Sleep Apnea Surgery - not all the same

Posted by arndt53 on 18 Aug 2009 at 18:54 GMT

I will say that a few years back after having surgery, that the surgery helped, but will say I still wake up tired. I had the CPAP which is great if you can manage to keep it on at night. The surgery was something I insisted on having. I had the soft palate partially removed as well as my tonsils, fixed a deviated septum and cleaned out my sinus'. This was great for about 6 months after recovery, but still feel I have apnea for the fact that I have trouble waking in the morning and feeling tired all the time. Be sure to do your research before having surgery because there are many types out there that can fix the problem.
